Power Architecture Processor for Hardware Engineers and Technicians

This is a one-day course for hardware design engineers and technicians. Class agenda will include the following topics.

Course Agenda:

  • The main differences between Power Architecture processors
  • Power Architecture Architechture
  • Programming model register types, usage and differences
  • Interrupt processing, vector table, and exception handling issues
  • Basic cache implementation variations and operation
  • Fundamentals of multiprocessor operation
  • External processor bus signals and operation
  • Write simple diagnostic loops
  • Set or clear register bits to control and/or observe external accesses

Note: Total topics covered will vary depending on class size, student's background, and pace of the class. Our instructors are flexible to adapt and adjust topics to suit your requirements.

Prerequisite:

Familiarity with microprocessors and microcontrollers are helpful. However, student’s willingness and desire to learn are the most important factors.
